🔐 Do you have access to my Bitcoin?
Minimal custody, maximum sovereignty. Payments flow through our Lightning node, but you can withdraw to your own wallet anytime. We never hold large balances — think of us as a payment router, not a bank. Your keys, your coins.
👁️ Can you read my emails?
We don't want to. We process email metadata (sender, subject) to manage payments. Email bodies pass through encrypted. We're building toward full end-to-end encryption where even we can't read your messages. We're not in the surveillance business.
🏛️ What about government requests?
We can't give what we don't have. We minimize data collection by design. No KYC for basic accounts. Payments are Lightning — pseudonymous by nature. We're not keeping logs to hand over. Build for privacy, not compliance theater.
💾 What data do you store?
The minimum to function: Your email address, your trust/block lists, payment history (Lightning invoice hashes). No IP logging. No tracking pixels. No selling your data. Ever. That's not our business model — Bitcoin is.
🔓 Is the code open source?
Yes. Verify, don't trust. Our code is on GitHub. Review it. Audit it. Fork it if you want. Transparency builds trust.

What's a satoshi?
A satoshi (sat) is the smallest unit of Bitcoin — 1/100,000,000 of a BTC. At current prices, 100 sats ≈ $0.06. Tiny for you, death by a thousand cuts for spammers.
Is this real Bitcoin?
Yes! Real Bitcoin on the Lightning Network. You can withdraw to any Bitcoin wallet anytime. Your sats, your rules.
What about my friends and family?
They email you free! Add them to your trust list. Only strangers and unknown senders pay the toll.
What if I want to email someone using TANSTAAFL?
You pay the sats they set. If your message is worth sending, it's worth a few cents to prove it. Think of it as a spam-free stamp.
Why Bitcoin? Why not regular money?
Bitcoin Lightning enables instant, global micropayments without banks, fees, or permission. No payment processor would let us charge $0.05 per email.

We're using Bitcoin because it's the only money that moves at the speed of the internet, can't be censored, and doesn't need anyone's permission.
